Grafiekwedstrijd en tentoonstelling.

 

Om de twee jaar organiseert 't Vrije een Grafiekbiënnale.  Kunstenaars van over gans Europa worden opgeroepen om een werk in te dienen. Een uitgelezen jury beoordeelt de ingezonden werken. Een selectie van de werken wordt tentoongesteld in het Groeninge Museum / Arentshuis.

De twaalfde editie van de Europese Grafiekbiënnale sloot op 3 januari haar deuren. Deze succesvolle editie werd gekenmerkt door een rijke oogst aan ingezonden werken. Hierdoor was de tentoonstelling meer dan de moeite waard om te bezoeken.

Wedstrijdreglement

Artikel  1
De tweejaarlijkse wedstrijd voor grafische kunst wordt uitgeschreven door de VZW ROTARIALE die hiermee een podium wil verschaffen aan grafische kunstenaars en de diverse aspecten van de grafiek wil promoten.   Voor deze editie wordt geen thema opgelegd.  Het voorliggend reglement en het aanmeldingsformulier zijn te verkrijgen bij de VZW ROTARIALE, P/A CROWNE PLAZA, BURG 10, B-8000 BRUGGE, BELGIË of op de website www.graphicartes.be.
Artikel 2 – deelname
Alle kunstenaars die in een lidstaat van de Europese Unie gedomicilieerd zijn, kunnen gratis aan de wedstrijd deelnemen, die open staat voor alle reproduceerbare grafische technieken met uitzondering van zuivere fotografie.  Eerder bekroonde werken of werken die vóór 2007 gemaakt werden, komen niet in aanmerking. De oppervlakte van een werk mag daarenboven niet groter zijn dan 2 m².
Artikel 3 – voorselectie
Elke deelnemer maakt tussen 1 maart 2009 en 1 juni 2009 een fotodossier over met maximaal drie duidelijke kleuren- of zwart/wit foto’s van werk dat voldoet aan het thema van de wedstrijd.  De fotodossiers, die niet aan de deelnemer zal worden teruggestuurd, zullen de selectiecommissie toelaten om een selectie te maken van de werken die zullen tentoongesteld worden.  Het fotoformaat is minstens 13/18 en maximum 20/30 groot.  De deelnemer vermeldt veiligheidshalve op de keerzijde van elke foto ‘naam, adres, titel en afmetingen van het werk’.  Hij stuurt het fotodossier samen met het ingevuld registratieformulier en een curriculum vitae naar VZW ROTARIALE  P/A H. MAERTENS, PASTORIESTRAAT 41 TE B-8200 BRUGGE, BELGIË.
Artikel 4  – selectie
De kunstenaar van de geselecteerde werken wordt schriftelijk en uiterlijk voor 1 juli 2009 uitgenodigd om de geselecteerde werken af te leveren.  De geselecteerde werken kunnen worden opgestuurd aan het adres: VZW ROTARIALE  P/A MUSEUM ARENTSHUIS, DIJVER 16 TE B-8000 BRUGGE, BELGIË, waar zij uiterlijk op 2 september 2009 dienen toe te komen. De werken kunnen ook worden afgegeven op hetzelfde adres op dinsdag 1 en woensdag 2 september 2009 tussen 10.00 en 17.00 uur.
Artikel 5  – jurering en tentoonstelling
Een internationale jury samengesteld onder de verantwoordelijkheid van de STEDELIJKE MUSEA BRUGGE zal 3 tentoongestelde werken bekronen en een eerste prijs toekennen van 2.500€, een tweede prijs van 1.000€ en een derde prijs van 750€.  Deze jury behoudt zich het recht voor om een geselecteerd werk niet tentoon te stellen en zal op verzoek van de kunstenaar haar beslissing schriftelijk verantwoorden. De prijswinnaars worden bekendgemaakt op de vernissage van de opening van de tentoonstelling 22 oktober 2009.  Het inlijsten van de tentoongestelde werken gebeurt onder de verantwoordelijkheid van de directie van de STEDELIJKE MUSEA BRUGGE, die de lijst – die geen geïntegreerd deel uitmaakt van het  werk – door een andere lijst kan vervangen.  De kunstenaar staat niet in voor de kosten van een andere lijst.  De tentoonstelling, die plaats zal vinden in het MUSEUM ARENTSHUIS, DIJVER 16 TE B-8000 BRUGGE, BELGIË loopt vanaf 23 oktober 2009 tot 3 januari 2010 en is publiek toegankelijk (voor de openingsuren van het museum, zie http://www.brugge.be/musea/nl/mbran.htm). 
Artikel 6 – veiling en verkoop
De VZW ROTARIALE zal de werken na de tentoonstelling veilen of te koop aanbieden, voor zover de kunstenaar met de verkoop van zijn werk instemt.  De kunstenaar bepaalt een minimumprijs en is gerechtigd op 2/3den van de behaalde verkoopprijs;  1/3de is bestemd voor de sociale werken van ROTARY CLUB BRUGGE ’T VRIJE.  De VZW ROTARIALE behoudt zich het recht voor om werken niet te koop aan te bieden en zal deze beslissing op verzoek van de kunstenaar schriftelijk verantwoorden.  De kunstenaar zal uiterlijk op 3 maart 2010 de afrekening van zijn werken ontvangen.
Artikel 7 –  Ophaling en verzekering van de werken
De kunstenaar zal in de maand januari 2010 uitgenodigd worden om de niet verkochte werken op te halen op een nog nader te bepalen plaats.  Hij kan bij aflevering van de werken en mits de voorafbetaling van 50 EUR op rekeningnummer IBAN: BE 60 4700 5146 3170 van VZW ROTARIALE bij KBC-BANK (BIC: KREDBEBB), HAVENLAAN 2 TE B-1080 BRUSSEL, BELGIË ook uitdrukkelijk verzoeken, om zijn werken terug te sturen.  Alle verzendingen gebeuren op risico van de kunstenaar, die zich op eigen initiatief voor beschadiging of verlies van zijn werken kan verzekeren.  VZW ROTARIALE verzekert de werken vanaf ontvangst tot uiterlijk 3 februari 2010.  De kunstenaar moet VZW ROTARIALE, P/A CROWNE PLAZA, BURG 10 TE B-8000 BRUGGE, BELGIË uiterlijk vóór 3 april 2010 schriftelijk op de hoogte brengen van zijn eis.  Na 3 april 2010 wordt geen nieuw dossier meer in behandeling genomen. De kunstenaar die zijn werken niet ophaalt tegen uiterlijk 3 mei 2010, dan wel tegen deze datum niet heeft betaald voor de tergzending verklaart zich uitdrukkelijk akkoord dat zijn werken overgedragen worden aan de STEDELIJKE MUSEA BRUGGE.
Artikel 8
Door deel te nemen verleent de kunstenaar aan de VZW ROTARIALE en de STEDELIJKE MUSEA BRUGGE het reproductierecht voor alle publicaties en/of promotionele activiteiten in verband met dit project, en stemt hij in met huidig wedstrijdreglement.

 

Règlement du concours

Article 1
Le concours biennal d’art graphique est organisé par l’ASBL ROTARIALE qui veut offrir un tremplin aux artistes pratiquant l'art graphique et en promouvoir les différents aspects.  Cette édition, le concours et de l’exposition n’ont pas de thème. Le règlement (ce document) et le bulletin de présentation sont disponibles auprès de l’ASBL ROTARIALE, P/A. CROWNE PLAZA, BURG 10, B-8000 BRUGGE,  BELGIQUE, et sur le site Internet www.graphicartes.be.
Article 2 – participation
Le concours est ouvert gratuitement à tous les artistes domiciliés dans un état membre de l’Union Européenne.  Toutes les techniques graphiques reproductibles sont permises, à l’exception de la photographie pure.  Les envois ne peuvent avoir été couronnés antérieurement et ne peuvent pas avoir été créés avant 2007.  L’œuvre originale ne peut pas avoir une superficie plus grande que 2,00 m². 
Article 3 – présélection
Chaque participant remet un dossier de présentation entre le 1er mars 2009 et le 1 juin 2009.  Ce dossier comprend au maximum trois photos couleur ou noir et blanc d’œuvres répondantes au thème du concours.  Le format des photos est de 13x18cm au minimum et de 20x30cm au maximum. Les dossiers photo, qui ne seront pas renvoyés aux participants, permettront à la commission de sélection de faire une sélection d’œuvres qui seront exposées.
Sur le dos de chaque photo, le participant marquera son nom et son adresse, ainsi que le titre et les dimensions de l’œuvre.  Il envoie son dossier, complété du bulletin de présentation et d’un curriculum vitae, à l’ASBL ROTARIALE, P.A. M. H. MAERTENS, PASTORIESTRAAT 41, B-8200 BRUGGE, BELGIQUE.
Article 4 – sélection
Le participant dont une ou des œuvres seront sélectionnées, sera invité par écrit avant le 1 juillet 2009 de livrer les œuvres en question.  Il peut les envoyer à l’adresse ASBL ROTARIALE, P.A. MUSEE ARENTSHUIS, DIJVER 16, BRUGGE , BELGIQUE, ceci avant le 2 septembre 2009, ou les délivrer à la même adresse les mardi 1 et mercredi 2 septembre 2009 entre 10.00 et 17.00 heures.
Article 5 – jugement et exposition
Un jury international sous la présidence de la direction des MUSEES MUNICIPAUX DE BRUGES primera trois œuvres exposées et les récompensera d’un premier prix de 2.500€, un deuxième prix de 1.000€  et un troisième prix de 750€.  Le jury se réserve le droit de ne pas exposer une ou des œuvres sélectionnées.  Dans ce cas, cette décision sera justifiée par écrit auprès du participant, en réponse à sa demande. Le nom des gagnants sera communiqué lors de la remise des prix, qui sera organisée lors du vernissage de l’exposition, le 22 octobre 2009.
L’encadrement des œuvres se fera par les soins de la direction des MUSEES MUNICIPAUX DE BRUGES, qui se réserve le droit de ré encadrer à ses frais des œuvres, dont les cadres ne font pas partie intégrale de l’œuvre.  L’exposition sera accessible au public au Musée Arentshuis à Bruges, du 23 octobre 2009 au 3 janvier 2010 (pour les heures d’ouvertures du musée, voir le site Internet http://www.brugge.be/musea/fr/mbraf.htm).
Article 6 – vente et vente publique
L’ASBL ROTARIALE mettra les œuvres vente ou en vente publique après l’exposition, pour autant que le participant consente à vendre son œuvre. L’artiste détermine le prix de vente ; il aura droit à deux tiers du prix de vente, le troisième tiers sera destiné aux oeuvres sociales du ROTARY CLUB BRUGGE ‘T VRIJE. L’ASBL ROTARIALE se réserve le droit de ne pas mettre en vente une ou plusieurs œuvres et justifiera sa décision en écrit auprès du participant, en réponse à sa demande.  Le participant recevra le décompte de la vente de ses œuvres au plus tard le 3 mars 2010.
Article 7 – reprise et assurance des œuvres
Le participant sera invité de reprendre ses œuvres à un endroit à déterminer dans le courant du mois de janvier 2010.  Les œuvres peuvent être réexpédiées au participant, sur sa demande expresse à la livraison et moyennant un paiement préalable de 50 € sur le compte numéro IBAN: BE 60 4700 5146 3170 de l’ASBL ROTARIALE, à la BANQUE KBC (BIC: KREDBEBB), HAVENLAAN 2, B-1080 BRUSSEL, BELGIQUE.  Tous les envois se feront sous la responsabilité du participant, qui peut s’assurer contre le dommage et la perte à ses propres frais.  L’ASBL ROTARIALE assure les œuvres dès leur réception jusqu’au plus tard le 3 février 2010.  Le participant doit prétendre à ses droits par écrit envers l’ASBL ROTARIALE, P.A. CROWNE PLAZA,BURG 10, B-8000 BRUGGE, BELGIQUE, et ceci avant le 3 avril 2010.  Aucun dossier ne sera plus ouvert après le 3 avril 2010.  Le participant qui n’a pas réclamé le renvoi de ses œuvres et/ou qui n’a pas effectué le payement pour leur renvoi  avant le 3 mai 2010 autorise de ce fait l’ASBL ROTARIALE de céder ses œuvres aux MUSEES MUNICIPAUX DE BRUGES.
Article 8
Chaque participant au concours accorde à l’ASBL ROTARIALE et aux MUSEES MUNICIPAUX DE BRUGES le droit de reproduction et de publication des œuvres envoyées pour toutes publications et activités promotionnelles possibles concernant ce projet et approuve le règlement du concours.

 

 

Rules of the biennial graphic print competition

Article 1
The biennial competition for graphic art is organised by the non-profit organisation VZW ROTARIALE to promote graphic arts and is addressed to graphic artists.   There is no imposed theme for the 2009 competition and the following exhibition.  The rules (this document) and the registration form may be obtained from ROTARIALE VZW, P/A CROWNE PLAZA, BURG 10, B-8000 BRUGGE, BELGIUM and on the Internet site www.graphicartes.be. 
Article 2 – participation
Any resident of a member-state of the European Union can participate for free. The competition is open to all reproducible graphic techniques with the exception of pure photography.  Entries should  not have been awarded on earlier occasions, nor have been created before 2007.  The surface of the actual work may not exceed 2,00 m². 
Article 3 – pre selection
The participant delivers a photo dossier between 1 March 2009 and 1 June 2009.  The dossier contains a maximum of three clear colour or black-and-white pictures of three creations according to the competition theme.  The pictures are in minimum 13x18cm and maximum 20x30cm formats.  On the back of the pictures, the participant’s name and address, the title of the work and its dimensions are to be mentioned.  The dossiers are to be completed with the registration form and a recent participants’ curriculum vitae and delivered to ROTARIALE VZW, P/A. H. MAERTENS, PASTORIESTRAAT 41, B-8200 BRUGGE, BELGIUM.
These dossiers will not be sent back to the participants.  They will allow the commission of selection to make a selection of entries to be exhibited.
Article 4 – selection
The creator of selected works will be invited in written before 1 July 2009 to deliver his selected works.  The works can either be sent to ROTARIALE VZW, P/A. ARENTSHUIS MUSEUM, DYVER 16, BRUGGE, BELGIUM before 2 September 2009 or be delivered at the same address on Tuesday 1 and Wednesday 18 September 2009 between 10 AM and 5 PM.
Article 5 – Jury and exhibition
The submitted works shall be judged by an international jury, presided by the direction of the MUNICIPAL MUSEUMS OF BRUGES. Prizes will be awarded to three works: a first prize of 2,500 €, a second prize of 1,000 €  and a third prize of 750 €.  The jury can decide not to expose one or more of the artists’ selected works. In this case, the jury will motivate its decision to the artist, in response to his request.  The names of the winning artists will be made public at the prize-giving ceremony, to be organised on 22 October 2009.
The framing of the selected works will be done under direction of the staff of the MUNICIPAL MUSEUMS OF BRUGES.  The latter may decide to reframe originally framed works at own expenses, as long as these frames are not integrated part of the work.  The exhibition is accessible to the public in the ARENTSHUIS MUSEUM IN BRUGES between 23 October 2009 and 3 January 2010 (see the museum’s opening hours on the site www.brugge.be/musea/en/mbrae.htm).

Article 6 – auction and sale
The VZW ROTARIALE will auction or sell the works after the exhibition, as long as the artist has agreed with the sale of his works.  The artist states the minimum price for each work and is entitled to yield 2/3 of the revenues, the remaining 1/3 are being reserved for the social fund of ROTARY CLUB BRUGGE ’T VRIJE.  The VZW ROTARIALE can decide not to sell or auction one or more of the artists’ works. In this case, the VZW ROTARIALE will motivate its decision in written to the artist, in response to his request.  The artist will receive the settlement of his accounts by 3 March 2010 
Article 7
The artist will be invited to recollect his unsold work during the month of January 2010.  They can be sent back to the artists’ address by special request on submission, and subject to advance payment of 50 € at the KBC-bank (BIC: KREDBEBB) account number IBAN: BE 60 4700 5146 3170, held by VZW ROTARIALE, HAVENLAAN 2, B-1080 BRUSSEL, BELGIUM.  Shipment is done at the participant’s risk. All the works will be insured against damage or loss by VZW ROTARIALE between their arrival date and 3 February 2010.  Claims should be addressed in written to VZW ROTARIALE, P/A CROWNE PLAZA, BURG 10, B-8000 BRUGGE, BELGIUM before 3 April 2010.  After 3 April 2010, no more new claims will be dealt with.  Any participant who has not recollected his work and/or not paid the fee for returning his work by 3 May 2010, authorizes the VZW ROTARIALE to hand them over to the MUNICIPAL MUSEUMS OF BRUGES.

Article 8
Each participant in the competition grants VZW ROTARIALE and the MUNICIPAL MUSEUMS OF BRUGES the right to make reproductions of the submitted work for all possible publications and-or promotional activities.  He also agrees with these competition rules.
